Established under the Indian Companies' Act VII of 1913 and incorporated on January 14,1956, the IGCC is a non-profit organization with its head-office in Mumbai, branch offices in Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Chennai, a liaison office in Duesseldorf (Germany).


The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce is a part of a world-wide network of 117 Chamber offices in 80 countries. With the parent organization, the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) located in Berlin, the network consists of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (IHK) within Germany and the Bi-National Chambers of Commerce (AHK) abroad. The Bi-National Chambers, which are service providers to the Industry, operate with their branches, liaison offices or representative offices in the respective foreign country. As a part of the global network, they are the first contact point for the local companies interested in business with Germany as well as German companies interested in business with the respective country.
